FLEXIBILITY MAKES MBA DREAM POSSIBLE

Rob Grant knew that advancing his education was the key to the career advancement he was seeking, but he also knew that leaving work to return to university wasn't an option for him. So, in 2007, Rob enrolled in University Canada West's part-time degree completion program. Now, having finished his Bachelor of Commerce degree, Rob is completing his MBA online at University Canada West.

"University Canada West stood out to me because they were flexible enough to allow me to finish my BCom and jump straight into my MBA," Rob said. "They were so gracious and accommodating of my requirements and schedule. Without the online and part-time options, I wouldn't have been able to make going back to school work for me."

Rob says he chose University Canada West because it was so much more flexible than the other universities he had considered. It's a decision he doesn't regret.

"The professors' enthusiasm and knowledge is incredible," he said. "They're all very experienced in their fields in both an academic and practical sense, and they are very focused on the students and their educational outcomes. I feel I am getting as good an education with University Canada West as with any other university."

Rob recommends online classes to those who need the flexibility to study anytime and anywhere. He says they also allowed him to interact with people from all over the world.

"Most of my courses have been online and the experience has been unbelievable," Rob said. "So many of my classmates have been from all over the world and the diversity of experience is incredible.  Studying online is not without its challenges, but it's worked out very well. Being able to go online when I have the time has allowed me to work full-time and pursue my education at the same time."

Rob will soon be finished his MBA and will be pursuing the career advancement he's hoped for. He's quick to recommend University Canada West to anyone with similar aspirations.
