How to Apply for a University Scholarship

Scholarship Application

Students must include the following items when applying for a University Canada West scholarship:

  • A 350-500 word essay on the topic: What is the Value of Learning in a Multicultural Environment Like University Canada West?
  • One letter of recommendation that assesses your personal character and attests to your commitment to learning, community service, and/or innovation from a guidance cousellor, principal or high school teacher.
  • Unofficial transcript of marks from your high school.
  • Outline of community service work (will need to be verified by the student's high school or organization).

Scholarship applicants will be evaluated on their academic achievement and potential, their personal qualities, and the content and expression of their written essay.

All interested applicants are asked to fill out the form at scholarships.ucan.ca.
