University Credit Transfer Process

Transfer Credit

The Office of the Registrar will evaluate transcripts from other accredited institutions for transfer credit. Official transcripts must be forwarded directly from the issuing institution to University Canada West, Office of the Registrar. Assessment cannot begin until all transcripts, other supporting documents and fees have been received.

The Registrar and/or the Dean of the Faculty will determine eligibility for transfer credit based on the official transcript. We are committed to giving the maximum transfer credit that is appropriate. When assessing eligibility, the Registrar looks at the following:

• the type of institution attended;
• the applicability of the courses at the previous institution to the University Canada West program the student intends to take;
• the grades achieved;
• the minimum course requirements necessary for the intended program of study.
