Transferring Existing College or University CreditsUniversity Canada West accepts coursework from other educational institutions. Students may have their academic coursework or diplomas assessed by the university and apply earned credits towards an undergraduate degree. International students may also be eligible to receive credit for courses or programs completed outside of North America. Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) in relation to Degree Completion In addition to transfer credits, students may partake in the Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) process. The PLAR process examines learning and training completed outside of traditional university classrooms, and determines whether these learnings are equivalent to the curriculum in the students’ intended undergraduate program of choice.
